Helping Families Slow Down, Reconnect, and Grow Together.
RE-IMAGINING Family mental healthcare
Our work centers on strengthening the emotional foundations of families in today’s evolving world. As roles shift, households change, and the pace of life accelerates, both parents and children can feel dysregulated, disconnected, or overwhelmed.
We focus on helping families understand their patterns not to assign blame, but to build awareness. Through attachment informed and trauma conscious care, we support caregivers in developing healthier responses, improving communication, and modeling regulation in ways that positively shape a child’s development.
Our goal is not only to reduce anxiety or behavioral concerns, but to create long-term relational resilience. We work with parents and children to build emotional intelligence, restore connection, and navigate co-parenting dynamics, generational patterns, and modern stressors with greater clarity and confidence.
Wellness within a family system is an ongoing process and healing happens most powerfully in relationship.
OUR STORY
Founded by Taina Andujar M.A, LMHC, LPC, NBCC.
Sana Mind & Soul was created from both lived experience and professional calling.
Raised in New York City within a culturally rich, multi-generational household, Taina developed an early awareness of how environment, community, and family systems shape emotional development. She saw how stress, resilience, culture, and circumstance influence the ways families adapt and how often emotional needs go unspoken.
As she pursued her graduate training and clinical work, she recognized a gap: families were often seeking support not just for individual symptoms, but for relational strain, generational patterns, and the growing complexity of modern life. Parents were navigating co-parenting, shifting roles, work-life imbalance, grief, anxiety, and cultural expectations often without structured guidance.
Sana Mind & Soul was founded to provide judgment free, developmentally informed therapy that strengthens both caregivers and children. What began as a general mental health practice evolved into a parent child specialty grounded in attachment science, trauma-informed care, and emotional regulation.
Today, the practice supports families working through generational trauma, anxiety, behavioral challenges, identity development, family transitions, and systemic stressors not by offering one size fits all solutions, but by developing thoughtful, comprehensive care plans tailored to each family system.
Based in downtown Jersey City and serving families across New Jersey, Sana Mind & Soul blends evidence based clinical interventions with culturally responsive and holistic approaches that honor each family’s story.
Healing is not a destination; it is a way of life. It is the daily choice to move toward awareness instead of avoidance, repair instead of reactivity, and connection instead of isolation. Families will experience rupture and growth and with the right support, they can rise with stronger foundations each time.

Founder
As a licensed mental health counselor, I specialize in creating comprehensive treatment plans for individuals and families, focusing on healing trauma, enhancing work-life balance, and fostering healthy relationships.
I founded Sana Mind & Soul P.C in Downtown Jersey City to provide diverse individuals with access to judgment-free mental health care.
Embracing nature-engaged practices, we aim to bridge the gap between humans and nature through grounding techniques and wellness groups.
Exercise plays a crucial role in our approach, as highlighted by Dr. Larry M. Leith in "Exercising Your Way to Better Mental Health." Regular exercise not only stabilizes mood but also helps clients overcome trauma, promoting continual growth. Our services include case management, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, assessments, and more.
Dedicated to delivering the best possible treatment, I invite you to reach out if you're seeking a therapist to support your journey to well being.
